VariFlight DataWorks ADS-B FAQs
Flight trajectory points include a time field, while aircraft registration queries include an updatetime field. Both represent the UTC data acquisition time.
The vspeed field is measured in metres per second. Positive values indicate that the aircraft is climbing, while negative values indicate descent. This field is available in flight trajectory and aircraft registration responses.
Flight trajectory points include an onground field. A value of -1 indicates that the aircraft is on the ground, while 0 indicates that it is airborne.
For airborne trajectory points, the documentation specifies that the location city name (name) and airport name (airportName) must remain empty. Geographic coordinates are provided separately in the position field.
Set the request’s lang parameter to en. The documentation identifies en as the English-language option for all four query methods.
Error code 10 indicates that no data is available for the request.
